    Anyone familiar with the H\u00f6rnli cemetery in Basel knows what a huge area it covers. 54 hectares! For the employees there, this means covering long distances every day to transport tools, plants, or soil. At the same time, the atmosphere must remain calm and respectful. <\/p>\n

    It was clear to us that our XCYC Work electric cargo bikes were an exciting solution for this environment. So we started a trial run to find out whether the bike could withstand the demands of this special location. And the feedback?     Challenges in cemetery operations<\/h2>\n

    You can’t imagine working in such a large cemetery to be like working in a simple park. There are transport tasks galore here. From shovels and flowers to tools and green waste, something always needs to be moved from A to B. <\/p>\n

    Of course, this immediately brings to mind gasoline and diesel vehicles, which are quieter and cleaner. After all, it is particularly important to maintain peace and quiet in this location, and this requires vehicles that neither make noise nor emit exhaust fumes. <\/p>\n

    In practical testing: The XCYC Work in use<\/h2>\n

    For the test, we provided employees with the XCYC Work with a tiltable loading area.<\/p>\n

    The idea behind this: practical experience is the quickest way to see what really works. This allowed us to see directly how the bike performs in everyday use. And the impressions were clear. <\/p>\n

    People put the bike through its paces. They gave us valuable positive feedback, but also a few critical comments, which we took a close look at for the further development of our bikes. <\/p>\n

    One of the biggest advantages was that you don’t need a special driver’s license. The XCYC Work is classified as an e-bike, so everyone on the team could use it right away. This makes scheduling much more flexible and gives employees without a driver’s license more independence. This was particularly well received in the cemetery grounds, where you have to drive slowly and carefully. The bike is super easy to maneuver, precisely because it allows for slow, controlled riding. <\/p>\n

    The load area is deep, giving the bike a low center of gravity. You can feel this immediately: even when fully loaded with soil, the bike remains completely stable. <\/p>\n

    The employees saw the bike as the ideal complement to the larger vehicles. It was perfect for the many small, everyday tasks, such as quickly taking tools to the next grave site or quickly transporting a load of cuttings. <\/p>\n

    However, it is not designed for large team projects that require transporting several people and a lot of equipment. This comes as no surprise, as it is a cargo bike. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    Our conclusion: Learn and improve<\/h2>\n

    This test run was invaluable for us. We take the feedback very seriously and it will be incorporated directly into the further development of our vehicles. Once again, we have practical proof that our cargo bikes are a genuine and, above all, sustainable solution for many municipal tasks, even if they are not the all-in-one solution for every purpose. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
