Switzerland-wide E-Bike Service

Our E-bike service is available throughout Switzerland. You can either drop off your E-bike directly with us or take advantage of our service even if there is no E-bike service center in your immediate vicinity.

The following options are available for transporting your E-bike:

You bring your E-bike to us in person. Please make an appointment in advance and remember to bring the key as well as any necessary accessories.

Preparing your E-bike for transport

If we are picking up your E-bike, please include all necessary keys and relevant accessories or attach them securely to the bike.

Please print the delivery note that you receive from us and include it with the E-bike.

No packaging is required. Our drivers and vehicles are specialized in transporting E-bikes carefully and securely.

Remote Regions:

For transport to car-free towns or locations that are not regularly accessible via public roads, any additional costs will be charged according to the official local rates.

These locations are situated within the defined remote regions. These include, among others, Zermatt, Saas-Fee, Wengen, and similar destinations.

E-bike repair

We are specialists in E-bike repair and maintenance. Our expert team works across all brands with a focus on full-system diagnostics and care.

Our workshop service for the whole of Switzerland: find out what you can do if you need support in Zurich, Winterthur, Rapperswil-Jona, Uster, Basel, Luzern, Bern, Biel/Bienne, Thun or Köniz.

E-Bike Diagnose & Reparatur

Before every repair, we check the technical condition of the e-bike. This includes:

  • mechanical repairs (drive, brakes, running gear)

  • electronic troubleshooting

  • software and system diagnostics

  • function and safety check

The diagnosis provides the basis for further action and cost estimation.

E-bike motor repair

We check engines for functionality, fault patterns, and repairability. Whether engine repair is advisable depends on the system and the damage.

We will inform you in advance about possible e-bike motor repair costs.

E-bike maintenance and care

Regular maintenance helps to detect signs of wear early on and prevent technical problems.

As part of maintenance, we check and process the following, among other things:

  • function and safety check

  • inspection of wear parts

  • adjustment of brakes and gears

  • checking the battery, motor, and electronics

  • software check, if necessary

E-bike maintenance is carried out regardless of brand or drive system.

Replacement e-bike during repair

To ensure you remain mobile during the repair, we will provide you with a replacement e-bike, if available.

Customers who have purchased their e-bike from YouMo benefit from this service free of charge. For other customers, the replacement e-bike is also free of charge from the second repair onwards.

In all other cases, we offer a replacement e-bike for a flat rate of CHF 50 for the entire repair period. We will clarify availability when you make your appointment.

The Go-SwissDrive system has been installed in over 30 e-bike brands. Tens of thousands of e-bikes are in use with this drive system and are regularly serviced accordingly.

Prophete e-bikes – Service in Switzerland

YouMo is your point of contact in Switzerland for service, repairs, and spare parts for Prophete e-bikes. Whether you purchased your e-bike from OBI, ALDI SUISSE, directly from Prophete, or from another dealer, our service team will take care of everything professionally.

Prophete e-bikes from OBI

If you purchased your Prophete e-bike at OBI, you can arrange for service either through your OBI store or directly through YouMo. The process differs depending on the warranty status:

E-bikes with warranty

  • OBI will arrange the service call.
  • The e-bike will be collected by YouMo. Provided that a valid warranty exists, there will be no additional costs for end customers.
  • Once repaired, the e-bike will be returned to OBI, where it can be picked up again.

Service via OBI for e-bikes without warranty

  • OBI arranges for YouMo to pick up the e-bike.
  • Before work begins, customers receive a cost estimate from OBI.
  • Once the repair is complete, you will receive an invoice from OBI and can pick up your e-bike there.

Direct contact with OBI E-Bikes without warranty

If your Prophete e-bike was originally purchased from OBI, but you contact YouMo directly, we can also handle the repair.
In this case, all communication will take place directly with the YouMo service team:

  • Please send us an email with a brief description of the problem. Include the brand and model of the bike and attach some photos—both overall views and close-ups of the motor and affected components, depending on the case.
  • YouMo will arrange for collection and carry out a technical inspection to determine the defect. The inspection, transport, and any repairs are subject to a charge.
  • After the inspection, you will receive a cost estimate for the repair for approval.
  • Once the repair is complete, the e-bike will be returned to you.

Prophete e-bikes from ALDI SUISSE

E-bikes with warranty

  • After submitting the proof of purchase, YouMo will review the warranty claim.
  • If there is a valid warranty, collection, inspection, and repair are free of charge.
  • Once the repair is complete, the e-bike will be returned to you.

E-bikes without warranty

  • YouMo will arrange for the e-bike to be picked up.
  • This is followed by a technical inspection to determine the defect. The inspection, transport, and any repairs are subject to a fee.
  • After review, you will receive a cost estimate for approval.
  • Once the repair is complete, your e-bike will be returned to you.

Prophete e-bikes from other dealers or directly from Prophete

If you did not purchase your Prophete e-bike from OBI or ALDI SUISSE, but directly from Prophete or another dealer, you can also contact YouMo directly.

  • Submit your service request using the service form.
  • YouMo organizes the pickup and performs a technical inspection to determine the defect.
  • Inspection, transport, and any necessary repairs are subject to a charge unless covered by a valid warranty.
  • After review, you will receive a cost estimate for approval.
  • Once the repair is complete, your e-bike will be returned to you.

Prices & costs for e-bike service

The cost of e-bike service and repair depends on the scope of work, the drive system, and the technical condition of the e-bike.

Labor values & price basis

For many types of work involving bicycles, pedelecs, and e-bikes, we refer to the work value list published by the German Bicycle Industry Association (ZIV).

This serves as a technical reference for time requirements and work steps.

There is currently no centralized list of labor values for e-bike services in Switzerland. However, in order to ensure transparent and comprehensible prices, we use this list as a guide and adapt it to our workshop practices.

We charge for work that is not covered by a flat rate or requires an individual diagnosis on a time basis.

Hourly rate

The hourly rate at YouMo is: CHF 120 per hour

Billing is based on actual time spent.
Before any work begins, we will inform you of the expected scope and costs.

Delivery of your e-bike

Drop off at our workshop in Rapperswil-Jona by appointment or pick up via our transport solution.

Diagnosis

After acceptance, we will check your e-bike technically. Depending on the case, the diagnosis covers mechanics, electronics, motor, battery, and software, and forms the basis for further action.

Cost approval

Based on the diagnosis, we will inform you about the scope of repairs and the costs involved. Work will only begin after you have given your approval.

Repair

Repairs and maintenance are carried out professionally and in accordance with the system specifications at our workshop in Rapperswil-Jona.

Returns / Delivery

Once completed, you can pick up your e-bike from us or we can arrange for it to be returned.

Frequently asked questions about e-bike service

Many older e-bikes can be repaired and continue to be used, provided that the condition of the system and the availability of spare parts allow this. We check this individually as part of the diagnosis.

If the necessary replacement parts are available, the service usually takes 1 to 7 business days. If parts need to be ordered, it may take longer.

If a repair is not technically or economically feasible, we will inform you as part of the diagnosis and discuss how to proceed.

Yes. For personal delivery to our workshop, we ask that you make an appointment in advance so that we can schedule the acceptance and diagnosis.
