E-bike financing in Switzerland with installment payments
Together with YouMo and bike financing in Switzerland, you now have the ideal alternative to cash purchases and can buy your YouMo in installments.
We are your contact for this, so you get everything from a single source. Find out all about your benefits and take a look at the sample calculations with the respective monthly installments.
Your advantages
- Transparent costs
For YouMo, transparency is the be-all and end-all when it comes to financing and installment purchases. No unexpected costs, predictability and a precise cost breakdown as well as constant installments are guaranteed for you.
- Fair conditions
Financing is always a little more expensive than a cash purchase, but we have very attractive conditions. You can also decide how long the term is and thus determine the monthly installment yourself.
- Everything from a single source
Wir kümmern uns um deine Finanzierungsanfrage und sind dein erster Ansprechpartner für Fragen rund um die Finanzierung. You get everything from one source.
- Discounted insurance on request in the first year
If you want to insure your YouMo against theft or unexpected breakdowns, you can take out TCS bike insurance for the first year with generous discounts. More information below in the text.
- The YouMo is yours in the end
One advantage over leasing: after the last installment payment, the YouMo is yours. Depending on the duration of the financing, this means after just one or two years.
Sample calculations for your financing & installment payments
The following sample calculations should give you an idea of what you can expect from the financing.
- The amount of the purchase price determines the amount of the down payment of 20 percent. The remaining loan amount is then calculated from this.
- You can also choose the term (12, 18, 24 or 30 months). The longer the term, the lower the monthly installment.
- In addition to the interest amount, you should also take into account the insurance/fee that frees you from the loan debt in the event of death or disability.
Please note that you can only select the term of 30 months for a purchase price of CHF 5,000 or more. This is relevant, for example, for X500 models as well as the RatRod and Matthias Reim Edition.
In the sample calculations, we have also calculated the final amount paid after the end of the financing period. This way you can see directly what the financing “costs” you.
If you would like to calculate the financing yourself, it is best to use the financing calculator from Bike Financing Switzerland.

E-bike leasing in Germany
In Germany, you have the option of leasing your YouMo. Leasing is handled by our partner JobRad. JobRad is for employees and the self-employed who are looking for a leasing option instead of buying a YouMo.
Who is JobRad and how does leasing work?
JobRad GmbH has been making the well-known company car leasing possible for e-bikes since 2008. This means that it is not you who leases the YouMo, but your employer. You can then ride the YouMo to work, in everyday life or on vacation. Incidentally, JobRad is also a leasing solution for the self-employed.
The biggest advantage is that you save a lot on leasing. But more on that later.
Your employer is registered on JobRad
In order for you to use JobRad, your employer must offer JobRad. In Germany, more than 30,000 small and large companies already belong to this group. Well-known companies include Barmer, Bosch, DB, Hornbach, Lufthansa Group, Rothaus, RWE Group, Vaude and many more.
If your employer does not yet offer JobRad, you can request information material for the company you work for here. This will certainly convince your employer.
Choose your desired YouMo
As soon as your employee has registered with JobRad, you can choose your desired YouMo either in our store or at a YouMo dealer.
- If you would like advice from a YouMo dealer first, they will be happy to provide you with a quote and send it directly to the online JobRad portal
- Alternatively, you can request a quote via the online JobRad portal
Now you can make an order request for your YouMo. Your employer then approves the order and we bring the YouMo to you.
Your advantages
- You save money, but not on YouMo
JobRad is at least 40 percent cheaper than buying one. If your employer also offers the YouMo as a salary extra, the leasing is completely tax-free for you.
- More than just a YouMo on the way to work
You can of course also use your YouMo in your everyday life, in your free time or on vacation for bike tours. You determine the paths and roads.
- Driving YouMo, but safely
Your YouMo JobRad is automatically covered by fully comprehensive insurance including mobility guarantee. You don’t need to worry about extra insurance.
- YouMo service throughout Germany
With JobRad, you can choose your own premium dealer for the service and optionally opt for an annual check-up. For an additional 5 euros a month – paid by many employers – you will receive an inspection up to a value of 210 euros per year free of charge.
- We are there for you throughout Germany
As a JobRad specialist retail partner, our YouMo dealers and our local service team are there for you throughout Germany.
- After 36 months, the YouMo may be yours
In general, you must return your YouMo JobRad to JobRad after three years of leasing. You may also be able to take over the YouMo at the end of the leasing contract.
- Leasing accessories? That’s possible
Bags, bike baskets, child seats, mudguards, pannier racks, replacement batteries and many other accessories can easily be included in the lease.
Leasing calculator from JobRad
To calculate the monthly amount that will actually be deducted from your net salary, simply enter the purchase price of your desired YouMo, your gross salary and your tax class.
You will then also be shown the relative savings. This amount means how much you save on a three-year lease compared to buying.
