PRESS RELEASE

Rapperswil, Switzerland and Calw, Germany, April 02, 2024

YouMo AG, a leading player in the electromobility sector, is taking over the Cargo E-Bike brand XCYC from the non-profit organization GWW. YouMo AG has been selling XCYC products in Switzerland for two years now and has successfully adapted them to the specific needs of the Swiss market.

The acquisition is being made for strategic reasons. YouMo will continue to run the business from Switzerland with its own staff. The transfer of expertise has already been organized to ensure smooth integration and guarantee delivery capability.

The acquisition marks a significant milestone for both companies and promises to expand the range of electric mobility solutions for Cargo E-Bikes. The managing directors of both companies are delighted with the takeover and are confident about the future development of the XCYC brand.

“The acquisition of XCYC is an exciting step for YouMo, consolidating our position as a leading provider of electric mobility solutions. It fills us with pride to have the successful XCYC brand in our portfolio and to be able to develop it further.” – Knut Späte, CEO of YouMo AG

“We welcome the acquisition by YouMo and are confident that XCYC is in good hands and will continue to be successful. This decision allows us to focus our resources more on our mission to promote and support people with disabilities.” – Andrea Stratmann, Managing Director of GWW.
