Cargo E-Bike for Facility Management: Efficient Property Maintenance
Multiple properties, one fleet, constantly tight schedules.
Tools need to go to the next building, spare parts to building services, cleaning supplies to the site on the other side of the premises—and all of this with minimal parking hassle and without missing the next appointment.
The XCYC Cargo E-Bike handles these short, frequent routes between buildings and locations: quiet, emission-free, and equipped with an open, modular cargo area that adapts to toolboxes, spare parts, or cleaning equipment—not the other way around.
Areas of Application for Cargo E-Bikes in Facility Management
Cargo E-Bike for Caretaker Services
Transport tools and minor hardware quickly between buildings without having to pull a car out of the underground garage for every small job.
XCYC Cargo E-Bike for Property Management
Cover multiple locations in a single morning, keeping materials for minor repairs and routine inspections directly on hand.
XCYC Cargo E-Bike for Commercial Cleaning Services
Move cleaning equipment and consumables between building sections or floor entrances without needing a delivery van in the courtyard.

Why a Cargo E-Bike Is More Cost-Effective Than a Car or Van
For short, frequent trips between buildings, a car or van is often oversized: it sits idle most of the time while continuously generating costs for fuel, maintenance, and parking spaces that need to be found at every stop.
Car / Van
- Ongoing costs even for short trips between buildings
- Time lost searching for parking in courtyards or on-site
- Higher maintenance effort over its service life
XCYC Cargo E-Bike: Low operating costs
- Low energy costs, even with many short trips per day
- Direct access, no searching for parking, even in tight courtyards
- Low maintenance, minimal maintenance effort in daily operations
For facility management companies with multiple locations on the same premises, this means: an XCYC Cargo E-Bike covers daily routes at a lower cost than a car or van.

Driving Licenses & Legal Classification for Commercial Facility Use
In Switzerland, registration regulations distinguish between light and heavy motorbikes (mopeds/e-bikes), placing the two XCYC models in different categories:
XCYC ALLROUND (Permissible Gross Weight: 250 kg)
Classified as a light motor vehicle, it can be ridden without a driver’s license from age 16 (or from age 14 with a Category M license). A clear advantage if multiple team members without a Category M license need to operate it.
XCYC WORK (Permissible Gross Weight: 300 kg)
With a weight over 250 kg, it falls into the category of heavy motorbikes (up to 450 kg) and requires a Category M driver’s license. In return, relaxed bike lane regulations and full approval for public roads apply.
E-Bike Regulations & Rules in Switzerland
In Germany, there is no uniform legal payload limit for cargo e-bikes—manufacturer specifications regarding the frame, brakes, and overall design are decisive. According to § 34 StVZO, the permissible gross vehicle weight must not be exceeded; overloading jeopardizes driving safety and, in commercial use, can lead to fines and loss of insurance coverage.
